About Us

We are Gold Generation, and we want to help vulnerable women in our community.

We are a Young Enterprise team, from Colston's Girls' School in Bristol.

Each bracelet we sell has a special charm that highlights the aspect of support that we would like to raise awareness of.

Did you know, every 11 minutes an entire family in the United Kingdom becomes homeless?

There is not a lot of solid data into violence against women, and according to the UN, somewhere between 30%-70% of women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual abuse from a partner at some point in their lives.

Women who have been physically or sexually abused by their partners are more than twice as likely to experience depression than women who have not experienced the same abuse.

Women make up almost half of all human traficking victims worldwide, and women and girls account for 70% of them. Young girls make up two thirds of child trafficking victims.

For every additional year of education a woman receives, the child mortality rate decreased by almost 10%, found by studies of over 219 countries.

In the majority of countries worldwide, women earn only 60%-70% of men's wages.

A study found that more women than men die from natural disasters and hazards. When the socioeconomic status of women in high, men and women die in equal numbers during and after natural disasters, whereas when the socioeconomic status of women is low, women are more likely to die than men. The only way to improve this, the UN say, is through education.
